Stormy Friday is internationally recognized in the field of facility management, having written several professional FM Books, served on the IFMA Board of Directors and served as adjunct faculty for graduate and undergraduate FM programs. She has lectured, consulted and provided training in over thirty countries for both corporate and government clients.
Having pioneered the use of marketing and management techniques within the facility management industry, Friday has achieved international acclaim. She has received the highest honor of IFMA Fellow and the 2002 Distinguished Author Award for Instructional Materials for her contributions in designing and developing management skills training and educational programs.

Lenny Jachimowicz, FMA Vice President of Engineering, Marriott International
Jachimowicz’s began his career with Marriott nearly 35 years ago, when he went to work in his hometown at the 750 room Philadelphia City Line Marriott as an hourly engineer. Marriott International was a young company then and the Philadelphia City Line Marriott was only the third hotel in the chain. Jachimowicz worked his way through various hourly and management positions and in just seven years took over as the hotel’s Director of Engineering.
By 1984 Jachimowicz had responsibility for Engineering in thirteen Marriott hotels in what was then known as the Boston Region -- an area that spanned

The 1980's saw Marriott's expansion into the new arena of multiple brands with the creation of "e;Courtyard by Marriott: the Hotel Built by Business Travelers for Business Travelers."e; Jachimowicz became the Division Director of Engineering for Courtyard by Marriott and later took on another growing Marriott brand: Fairfield Inn. As the brands continued to increase, so did Jachimowicz’s span of responsibility. In 1995 Lenny became Vice President of Engineering for all Courtyards, Fairfield Inns and the two new brands: SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites.
In his current position, Vice President of Engineering for Marriott Lodging, Jachimowicz oversees the Engineering discipline for all 750 Marriott managed hotels in
.
He holds a Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designation from
International, an organization for which he currently serves as a Board of Trustees member, a position he has held for nearly three years.

Kouji Nakata has extensive experience in organizational development, growth planning, organizational change management, and leadership coaching. As Founding Partner and Director of Consulting for LJG Partners, Dr. Nakata has provided executive leadership coaching and development for major multi-national organizations including: Hewlett Packard, Intel, Bank of America, Oregon State Treasury, University of Alaska, Pacific Bell, Actus Lendlease, Lowe Enterprises, Nextel, and Bank One among others. Since 1995, Dr. Nakata, who earned his Ph.D. in Applied Behavioral Sciences in Management from UCLA, has each year, received Highest Rated Faculty from the Institute for Corporate Real Estate – CORENET Global as well as serving as faculty and Dean at several universitites; he is a requested guest lecturer for the Lusk Center for Real Estate at UCS.

Walker Lee Evey is President of the Design-Build Institute of America, a national non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of integrated design and construction project delivery services. Lee possesses a personal commitment to design-build project delivery coupled with an extraordinary and varied background in both the public and private sectors. He has been an outspoken advocate of integrated project delivery, demonstrating the effectiveness of innovative partnering and teaming approaches.
Prior to joining DBIA in June 2004, Lee was senior vice president of 3D/International, Inc., a design, management, and construction company that employs 600 professionals in 18 offices nationwide. While at 3D/International, he took a leave of absence to serve as senior advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Housing and Construction in their rebuilding efforts.
For five years before coming to 3D/International, Lee was the program manager for the 10-year, $4 billion Pentagon Renovation Program. He also successfully led the Phoenix Project, which rebuilt in only one year the Pentagon areas damaged by the 9/11 terrorist attack. Lee served as the principal advisor to the Secretary of Defense and the Deputy Secretary of Defense for all matters relating to the Pentagon Renovation Program. In that capacity, Lee championed the use of design-build delivery, achieving significant cost savings and rapid project completion.
Mr. Evey was the top civilian Air Force contracting official at the Pentagon prior to joining the Pentagon renovation effort, and also held a variety of key positions with NASA. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and in 1967 and served as an Infantry Platoon Leader and Company Commander in Vietnam, participating in numerous combat operations. Lee entered federal service in January 1974 as a member of the Air Force Copper Cap Training Program at Patrick Air Force Base.
Lee was recently honored with the Presidential Distinguished Executive Rank Award for "e;sustained extraordinary accomplishment in management of programs of the United States Government and for leadership exemplifying the highest standards of service to the public, reflecting credit on the career civil service."e; He is a member of the Senior Executive Association, the Air Force Association, and the National Contract Management Association.
Mr. Evey received a BA in Psychology and MA in Special Education from the University of South Florida, and a MS in Management Science from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Meredith Thatcher
CFM, IFMA Fellow
Meredith Thatcher is President of Carroll Thatcher Planning Group, based in Ottawa, Canada, specializing in facility strategic planning, space planning, interior design, and consulting. Meredith is a facility strategic planner and a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.
Meredith has a strong commitment to developing the profession; she regularly speaks at conferences in Canada and the United States and recently in New Zealand, and has been published in facility management journals and conference proceedings. She has experience in the world of on-line education as a contributor and teaching assistant for courses in Michigan State University’s Internet-based Masters Level Facility Management program.
She is an active member of the international IFMA/BOMA task group for Area Measure. In October 2005, she was inducted as a Fellow to the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and is a qualified IFMA instructor. Meredith has also recently joined the IFMA international board of directors.
She was named an Expert Advisor to the International Centre for Facilities in 1997. In 1999 Meredith was chosen as one of ‘The Top 50 Most Influential People in the Construction, Property Management and Design Industry’.

Mr. Adams has spent his entire 25-year career in the financial services arena. Prior to joining Western Capital Partners, Mr. Adams was a senior partner at Denver Investment Advisors LLC which managed a $7.5 billion portfolio. Over 15 years at the firm, he held various positions including President of the Westcore Funds, Executive Manager, and Chief Operating Officer and was consistently a member of the Management Committee. Mr. Adams also served as Vice President at Wasatch Advisors in Salt Lake City and PaineWebber in New York City. He holds a BS with Honors in Finance from the University of Utah.

Tom Gille has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. In 1996 he formed REAL Systems where he works with management and service firms in the design and implementation of their strategic planning and performance improvement programs. In addition to his role as principal at REAL Systems, he was named Chief Operating Officer of CAC Real Estate Management Company in 2005. Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Gille was Vice President of Asset Management at Catellus Development Corporation.
As a noted trainer, he has lectured on management, negotiations and finance internationally as well as for industry organizations such as IFMA, BOMA, BOMI, CCIM, IREM, ULI, and NAIOP.
Mr. Gille has held positions as president of the Bay Area chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management, director of the San Francisco Association of Realtors, director of the Building Owners and Managers Institute International (BOMI), and president of BOMA San Francisco and BOMA California. He is currently a member of the BOMA-California board of directors.
Mr. Gille has served for many years as an instructor at local colleges and universities in the San Francisco Bay area. Additionally, he was a distinguished guest lecturer in strategy and finance in the University of Southern California/BOMA executive education program. His academic activities also include writing numerous articles on the subject of commercial property operations and negotiations. Mr. Gille received a B.A. and M.A. in political science from San Francisco State University. His graduate study was in the field of constitutional law.
